Security in a regulatory environment
Implementing a fully modernised IT solution within one day, without disrupting business as usual.
Recognising the need to modernise their IT solutions and remain competitive, SMBC wanted to seamlessly move from Blackberry to Apple iOS, giving them access to the latest applications and keeping business moving forward.
The highly regulated industry their parent company operated in, meant the solution SMBC chose was secure enough to fit the regulatory requirements imposed on them.
SMBC’s ambition was to minimise downtime, completing the migration within one day, to prevent productivity from effectively grinding to a halt, which would have a detrimental impact on business. CWSI rose to the challenge, arriving on site with all devices ready-to-use state – with secure mobile working solutions and specific corporate apps installed, SIM cards, and even the company iTunes account activated.
Our expertise minimised delays, ensuring staff were set up with devices within a tight deadline, whilst resolving issues on the spot without having to involve third party providers, and enabling the seamless continuation of business as usual for customers.
Ease of use, without compromising the security was our priority.
SMBC Aviation Capital is one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies, and every minute an aircraft managed by SMBC takes off or lands somewhere in the world. With the strength of their shareholders, the company aims to give their airline and investor customers access to an exceptionally broad range of financial solutions, as well as providing investment and aircraft management services.
Ease of use, without compromising the security of sensitive financial data was CWSI’s priority in working with SMBC. We took a risk-first approach, providing an end-to-end premium service that complies with the legal and regulatory requirements of the client.
Just one day on site migration with the entire project being completed in five days.
In addition, our skills were key in ensuring that Employees – who were long term Blackberry users – received full training so that, from day one, they knew how to operate their new iPhones, with confidence and that they each left the office with a fully operational and secure device, including access to email and all the applications they would need.
155 devices deployed.
